Chapter 197

Chapter: (Prostrating For) Forgetfulness After The Two Prostrations (Rak’ah).

باب السَّهْوِ فِي السَّجْدَتَيْنِ

English narration

Narrated by أبو هريرة الدوسي

This tradition has also been transmitted by Abu Hurairah through a different chain of narrators. This version goes: he did not make two prostrations (at the end of prayer) due to forgetfulness until Allah gave him satisfaction about it.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ ، قَالَ : "

وَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ حَتَّى يَقَّنَهُ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ

" .
