Chapter: The Fasting Person Pouring Water Upon Himself Due To Thirst, And Exaggerating In Sniffing Water Into The Nose.

باب الصَّائِمِ يَصُبُّ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ مِنَ الْعَطَشِ وَيُبَالِغُ فِي الاِسْتِنْشَاقِ

English narration

Narrated by لقيط بن عامر العقيلي

Narrated Laqit ibn Saburah: The Prophet ﷺ said: Snuff up water freely unless you are fasting.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "

بَالِغْ فِي الِاسْتِنْشَاقِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا

" .
