Chapter 53

Chapter: What a man should say after eating.

باب مَا يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا طَعِمَ

English narration

Narrated by صدي بن عجلان الباهلي

Abu Umamah said: When the food cloth was removed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “praise be to Allah abundantly and sincerely, of such a nature as is productive of blessing, is not insufficient, Abandoned, or ignored, O our lord. ”

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ ثَوْرٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بَنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، قَال : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "

إِذَا رُفِعَتِ الْمَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا

" .
