Abu Dawud · 146بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَرِيَّةً فَأَصَابَهُمُ الْبَرْدُ ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَمْسَحُوا عَلَى الْعَصَائِبِ وَالتَّNarrated Thawban: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent out an expedition. They were affected by cold. When they returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he commanded them to wipe over turbans and stockings.5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 147رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ قِطْرِيَّةٌ ، فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعِمَامَةِ فَمَسَحَ مُقَدَّمَ رَأْسِهِ وَلَمْ يَنْقُضْ الْعِمَامَةَNarrated Anas ibn Malik: I saw the Messenger ﷺ perform ablution. He had a Qutri turban. He inserted his hand beneath the turban and wiped over the forelock, and did not untie the turban.6 narrators
