Abu Dawud · 569لَوْ أَدْرَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَحْدَثَ النِّسَاءُ ، لَمَنَعَهُنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا مُنِعَهُ نِسَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَAishah (Allah be pleased with her), wife of the prophet ﷺ, said ; if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had seen what the women have invented, he would have prevented them from visiting the mosque (for praying), as the women of th5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 570صَلَاةُ الْمَرْأَةِ فِي بَيْتِهَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهَا فِي حُجْرَتِهَا ، وَصَلَاتُهَا فِي مَخْدَعِهَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهَا فِي بَيْتِهَاAbdullah (bin Masud) reported the prophet ﷺ as saying; it is more excellent for a woman to pray in her house than in her courtyard, and more excellent for her to pray in her private chamber than in her house.7 narratorsAbu Dawud · 571لَوْ تَرَكْنَا هَذَا الْبَابَ لِلنِّسَاءِIbn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: if we reserve this door for women (it would be better).
