Abu Dawud · 674لِيَلِنِي مِنْكُمْ أُولُو الْأَحْلَامِ وَالنُّهَى ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْAbu Masud reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: let those of your who are sedate and prudent be near me, then those who are next to them, then those who are next to them.6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 675حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلThis tradition has also been transmitted by Abdullah (bin Masud) through a different chain of narrators.
