Abu Dawud · 3748مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ جَائِزَتُهُ يَوْمُهُ وَلَيْلَتُهُ الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُ أَنْ يَثْوِيَ عِنْدَهُAbu Shuraih al-Kaabi reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as sayings: He who believes in Allah and the Last Day should honour his guest provisions for the road are what will serve for a day and night: hospitality extends fo4 narratorsAbu Dawud · 3749الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ فَمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌNarrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet ﷺ said: Hospitality extend for three days, and what goes beyond that is sadaqah (charity).6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 3750لَيْلَةُ الضَّيْفِ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ ، فَمَنْ أَصْبَحَ بِفِنَائِهِ فَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اقْتَضَى وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَNarrated AbuKarimah: The Prophet ﷺ said: It is a duty of every Muslim (to provide hospitality) to a guest for a night. If anyone comes in the morning to his house, it is a debt due to him. If he wishes, he may fulfil it,6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 3751أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَضَافَ قَوْمًا فَأَصْبَحَ الضَّيْفُ مَحْرُومًا فَإِنَّ نَصْرَهُ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ بِقِرَى لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ زَرْعِهِ وَمَالِهِNarrated Al-Miqdam AbuKarimah: The Prophet ﷺ said: If any Muslim is a guest of people and is given nothing, it is the duty of every Muslim to help him to the extent of taking for him from their crop and property for the 6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 3752يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّكَ تَبْعَثُنَا ، فَنَنْزِلُ بِقَوْمٍ فَمَا يَقْرُونَنَا ، فَمَا تَرَى ؟ ، فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنْ نَزَلْتُمْ بِقَوْمٍ فَأَمَرُوا لَكُمْ بِمَا يَنْUqbah bin Amir said: we said: Messenger of Allah!
