Abu Dawud · 4763فِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ مُودَنُ الْيَدِ ، أَوْ مُخْدَجُ الْيَدِ ، أَوْ مَثْدُونُ الْيَدِ ، لَوْلَا أَنْ تَبْطَرُوا ، لَنَبَّأْتُكُمْ مَا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ يَقْتُلُونَهُمْ , عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وUbaidah (al-salman) said: Ali mentioned about the people of al Nahrawan, saying: Among them there will be a man with a defective hand or with a small hand. if you were not to overjoy. I would inform you of what Allah has7 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4764بَعَثَ عَلِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذُهَيْبَةٍ فِي تُرْبَتِهَا ، فَقَسَّمَهَا بَيْنَ أَرْبَعَةٍ : بَيْنَ الْأَقْرَعِ بْنِ حَابِسٍ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ ، ثُمَّ الْمُجَاشِعِيِّ ، وَبَيْنَ عُيَيْنَAbu Saeed Al-khudri said: Ali sent some gold-mixed dust to the prophet ﷺ. But when I talk to you about matters between me and you, then war is a deceptio6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4768أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : يَخْرُج قَوْمٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ، لَيْسَتْ قِرَاءَتُكُمْ إِلَى قِرَاءَتِهِمْ شَيْئًا ، وَلَا صَلَاتُكُSalamah bin kuhail said: Zaid bin Wahb al-Juhani told that he was in the army which proceeded to (fight with) the Khawarij in the company of Ali. All then said: O people! I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: there will 6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4769حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَضِيءِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ : اطْلُبُوا الْمُخْدَجَ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، فَاAli said: search for the man with crippled hand. he then mentioned the rest of the tradition. Abu al-wadi said: As if I am looking at an ABYSSINIAN 5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4770إِنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْمُخْدَجُ لَمَعَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ نُجَالِسُهُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَكَانَ فَقِيرًا وَرَأَيْتُهُ مَعَ الْمَسَاكِينِ يَشْهَدُ طَعَامَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَعَ النَّاسِ ، وَقَAbu Maryam said: This man with the crippled hand was on that day with us in the mosque. We would sit with him by day and by night, and he was a poor man. I saw him attending the meals of Ali (Allah be pleased with him) w4 narrators
