Abu Dawud · 4928أُتِيَ بِمُخَنَّثٍ قَدْ خَضَّبَ يَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ بِالْحِنَّاءِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا بَالُ هَذَا ؟ فَقِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، يَتَشَبَّهُ بِالنِّسَاءِ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَنُNarrated Abu Hurairah: A hermaphrodite (mukhannath) who had dyed his hands and feet with henna was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. He asked: What is the matter with this man? He was told: Messenger of Allah! he affects women's8 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4929أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا مُخَنَّثٌ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخِيهَا : إِنْ يَفْتَحْ اللَّهُ الطَّائِفَ غَدًا دَلَلْتُكَ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ تُقْبِلُ بِأَرْبَعٍ Umm Salamah said that the Prophet ﷺ came upon her when there was with her a hermaohrodite (mukhannath) who said to her brother Abdullah (b. Abi Umayyah): if Allah conquers al-Ta’if for you tomorrow, I shall lead you to a6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4930لَعَنَ الْمُخَنَّثِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالْمُتَرَجِّلَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ، وَقَالَ : أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْIbn Abbas said: The Prophet ﷺ cursed the hermaphrodites (mukhannathan) among men and women who imitated men, saying: Put them out of your houses, and put so and so out, that is to say, the hermaphrodites.5 narrators
