Chapter 18

(18) Chapter. White cloth for the shroud.

18- بَابُ الثِّيَابِ الْبِيضِ لِلْكَفَنِ:

English narration

Narrated by عائشة بنت أبي بكر الصديق

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was shrouded in three Yemenite white Suhuliya (pieces of cloth) of cotton, and in them there was neither a shirt nor a turban."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، "

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُفِّنَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ بِيضٍ سَحُولِيَّةٍ مِنْ كُرْسُفٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ قَمِيصٌ وَلَا عِمَامَةٌ
