(5) Chapter. The guarantor in As-Salam.

5- بَابُ الْكَفِيلِ فِي السَّلَمِ:

English narration

Narrated by عائشة بنت أبي بكر الصديق

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) bought some foodstuff (barley) from a Jew on credit and mortgaged his iron armor to him (the armor stands for a guarantor).

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتِ : "

اشْتَرَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامًا مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ بِنَسِيئَةٍ ، وَرَهَنَهُ دِرْعًا لَهُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ

" .
