Book 47: The Book of Partnership

كِتَاب الشَّرِكَةِ

Chapter 4

(4) Chapter. A partner sharing a meal should not eat two dates at a time unless he gets the permission of his partner.

4- بَابُ الْقِرَانِ فِي التَّمْرِ بَيْنَ الشُّرَكَاءِ حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنَ أَصْحَابَهُ:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن عمر العدوي

The Prophet (ﷺ) decreed that one should not eat two dates together at a time unless he gets the permission from his companions (sharing the meal with him).

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَبَلَةُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، يَقُولُ : "

نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَقْرُنَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ التَّمْرَتَيْنِ جَمِيعًا حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنَ أَصْحَابَهُ
