Book 57: The Book of The Obligations of Khumus

كِتَاب فَرْضِ الْخُمُسِ

Chapter 5

(5) Chapter. What has been said regarding the armour of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), his staff, sword, cup and ring.

5- بَابُ مَا ذُكِرَ مِنْ دِرْعِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَصَاهُ وَسَيْفِهِ وَقَدَحِهِ وَخَاتَمِهِ:

English narration

Narrated by أنس بن مالك الأنصاري

When the cup of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got broken, he fixed it with a silver wire at the crack. (The subnarrator, `Asim said, "I saw the cup and drank (water) in it.")

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، "

أَنَّ قَدَحَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْكَسَرَ ، فَاتَّخَذَ مَكَانَ الشَّعْبِ سِلْسِلَةً مِنْ فِضَّةٍ ، قَالَ عَاصِمٌ : رَأَيْتُ الْقَدَحَ وَشَرِبْتُ فِيهِ

" .
