Chapter 72
(72) Chapter. It is obligatory to accept the invitation to a Walima (wedding banquet) and other invitations.
72- بَابُ حَقِّ إِجَابَةِ الْوَلِيمَةِ وَالدَّعْوَةِ:
English narration
Narrated by عبد الله بن عمر العدوي
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If anyone of you is invited to a wedding banquet, he must go for it (accept the invitation)."
النص العربي
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "
إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا
" .
