Book 71: The Book of Al-Aqiqa
كِتَاب الْعَقِيقَةِ
Chapter 1
(1) Chapter. The naming of a newly born child the day it is born, and Al-Aqiqa for it has not (yet) been offered, and its Tahnik.
1- بَابُ تَسْمِيَةِ الْمَوْلُودِ غَدَاةَ يُولَدُ، لِمَنْ لَمْ يَعُقَّ عَنْهُ، وَتَحْنِيكِهِ:
English narration
Narrated by عائشة بنت أبي بكر الصديق
A boy was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) to do Tahnik for him, but the boy urinated on him, whereupon the Prophet had water poured on the place of urine.
النص العربي
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : "
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصَبِيٍّ يُحَنِّكُهُ فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَتْبَعَهُ الْمَاءَ
" .
