Chapter 52

(52) Chapter. The use of Ajwa dates as medicine for magic.

52- بَابُ الدَّوَاءِ بِالْعَجْوَةِ لِلسِّحْرِ:

English narration

Narrated by سعد بن أبي وقاص الزهري

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If somebody takes some 'Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be affected by poison or magic on that day till night." (Another narrator said seven dates).

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "

مَنِ اصْطَبَحَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةً لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ سُمٌّ وَلَا سِحْرٌ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ

" وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ : سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ .
