Chapter 95

(95) Chapter. What is said about one’s saying: “Wailaka (woe to you).”

95- بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قَوْلِ الرَّجُلِ وَيْلَكَ:

English narration

Narrated by أنس بن مالك الأنصاري

The Prophet (ﷺ) saw a man driving a Badana (a camel for sacrifice) and said (to him). "Ride it." The man said, "It is a Bandana." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Ride on it." The man said, "It is a Bandana." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, Ride on it, woe to you!"

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ : " ارْكَبْهَا " قَالَ : إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ، قَالَ : " ارْكَبْهَا " ، قَالَ : إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ، قَالَ : " ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ " .
