Chapter 106

(106) Chapter. The statement of the Prophet: “Name yourselves by my name, but do not call yourselves by my Kunyah.”

106- بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي، وَلاَ تَكْتَنُوا بِكُنْيَتِي»:

English narration

Narrated by أبو هريرة الدوسي

Abu-l-Qasim (The Prophet) said, "Name yourselves by my name, but do not call yourselves by my Kuniya."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "

سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكْتَنُوا بِكُنْيَتِي

" .
