Chapter 122

(122) Chapter. It is forbidden to throw stones (with the thumb and the index or middle finger).

122- بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الْخَذْفِ:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن مغفل المزني

The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the throwing of stones (with the thumb and the index or middle finger), and said "It neither hunts a game nor kills (or hurts) an enemy, but it gouges out an eye or breaks a tooth."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ صُهْبَانَ الْأَزْدِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْخَذْفِ ، وَقَالَ : "

إِنَّهُ لَا يَقْتُلُ الصَّيْدَ ، وَلَا يَنْكَأُ الْعَدُوَّ ، وَإِنَّهُ يَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ وَيَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ

" .
