(17) Chapter. How the Prophet and his Companions used to live, and how they gave up their interest in the world.

17- بَابُ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَيْشُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ، وَتَخَلِّيهِمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا:

English narration

Narrated by عائشة بنت أبي بكر الصديق

The bed mattress of the Prophet (ﷺ) was made of a leather case stuffed with palm fibres.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ ابْنُ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : "

كَانَ فِرَاشُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَدَمٍ وَحَشْوُهُ مِنْ لِيفٍ

" .
