Book 81: The Book of Ar-Riqaq (Softening of The Hearts)

كِتَاب الرِّقَاقِ

Chapter 39

(39) Chapter. The saying of the Prophet: “I have been sent, and the Hour (is at hand) as these two (fingers).” And the Statement of Allah: "...And the matter of the Hour is not but as a twinkling of the eye, or even nearer. Truly! Allah is Able to do all things." (V.16:77)

39- بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَاتَيْنِ»:

English narration

Narrated by سهل بن سعد الساعدي

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "I have been sent and the Hour (is at hand) as these two," showing his two fingers and sticking (separating) them out.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ هَكَذَا " ، وَيُشِيرُ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ فَيَمُدُّ بِهِمَا .
