Chapter 43
(43) Chapter. How do the people give the Baia (pledge) to the Imam (ruler).
43- بَابُ كَيْفَ يُبَايِعُ الإِمَامُ النَّاسَ:
English narration
Narrated by سلمة بن الأكوع الأسلمي
I said to Salama, "For what did you give the Pledge of allegiance to the Prophet (ﷺ) on the Day of Hudaibiya?" He replied, "For death."
النص العربي
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِسَلَمَةَ : "
عَلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ بَايَعْتُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ؟ ، قَالَ : عَلَى الْمَوْتِ
