Book 97: The Book of Holding Fast To The Qur’An and The Sunna

كِتَاب الِاعْتِصَامِ بِالْكِتَابِ وَالسُّنَّةِ

Chapter 3

(3) Chapter. What is disliked of asking too many questions and of troubling oneself with what does not concern one.

3- بَابُ مَا يُكْرَهُ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ السُّؤَالِ وَتَكَلُّفِ مَا لاَ يَعْنِيهِ:

English narration

Narrated by أنس بن مالك الأنصاري

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "People will not stop asking questions till they say, 'This is Allah, the Creator of everything, then who created Allah?' "

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَبَّاحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "

لَنْ يَبْرَحَ النَّاسُ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا هَذَا اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ اللَّهَ

" .
