Hadith 7481

Book 98: The Book of Tauhtd (Islamic Monotheism)

كِتَاب التَّوْحِيدِ

Chapter 32

(32) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Intercession with Him profits not, except for him whom He permits. So much so that when fear is banished from their (angels) hearts, they (angels) say,’What is it that your Lord has said?’ They say, ’The truth. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.’ " (V.34:23) Allah has does not say, "What is it that your Lord created?"

32- بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلاَ تَنْفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُوا الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ}:

English narration

Narrated by أبو هريرة الدوسي

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When Allah ordains something on the Heaven the angels beat with their wings in obedience to His Statement which sounds like that of a chain dragged over a rock. His Statement "Until when the fear is banished from their hearts, the Angels say, 'What was it that your Lord said?' 'They reply, '(He has said) the Truth. And He is the Most High, The Great. " (34.23)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ الْأَمْرَ فِي السَّمَاءِ ضَرَبَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا خُضْعَانًا لِقَوْلِهِ كَأَنَّهُ سِلْسِلَةٌ عَلَى صَفْوَانٍ

" ، قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ : صَفْوَانٍ يَنْفُذُهُمْ ذَلِكَ فَإِذَا فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا : مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ ؟ ، قَالُوا : الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ .
