كِتَاب الْعِيدَيْنِ

Chapter 7

(7) Chapter. Walking and riding for the Eid prayer. The Eid prayer is offered before delivering the Khutba (religious talk) and there is no Adhan or Iqama for it.

7- بَابُ الْمَشْيِ وَالرُّكُوبِ إِلَى الْعِيدِ بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلاَ إِقَامَةٍ:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن عمر العدوي

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to offer the prayer of `Id-ul-Adha and `Id-ul-Fitr and then deliver the Khutba after the prayer.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، "

أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي الْأَضْحَى وَالْفِطْرِ ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ
