Abu Dawud · 997فَكَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِNarrated Wail ibn Hujr: I offered prayer along with the Prophet ﷺ. He would give the salutation to his right side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah; and to his left side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 5035حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ إِThe tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Hurairah through a different chain from the prophet ﷺ.
