Jabir bin Samurah said: The prayer offered by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was moderate, and the sermon given by him was (also) moderate. He would recite a few verses from the Quran and exhort the people.
النص العربي
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : "
كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا يَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ
