Chapter: Giving Charity During An Eclipse.

باب الصَّدَقَةِ فِيهَا

English narration

Narrated by عائشة بنت أبي بكر الصديق

Narrated Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her): The sun and the moon are not eclipsed on account of anyone's death or on account of anyone's birth. So when you see that, supplicate Allah, declare His greatness, and give alms.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا يُخْسَفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَبِّرُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا

" .
