Abdullah bin Amr said: (Sufyan said: The version of the narrator Sulaiman does not go back to The Prophet ﷺ. Fitr and al-Hasan reported from him ): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: One who compensates is not a man who unites relationship: but the man who unites relationship is the one who joins it when the relationship is cut off.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، وَالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَفِطْرٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ سُلَيْمَانُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرَفَعَهُ فِطْرٌ وَ الْحَسَنُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "
لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ وَلَكِنْ هُوَ الَّذِي إِذَا قُطِعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا
" .
