Chapter: The View That Atonement Is Necessary If A Man Vows To Disobey Allah.

باب مَنْ رَأَى عَلَيْهِ كَفَّارَةً إِذَا كَانَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن العباس القرشي

Narrated Ibn Abbas: That the sister of Uqbah bin Amir took vow to walk on foot to the Kabah. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ ordered her to ride and slaughter a sacrificial animal.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، "

أَنَّ أُخْتَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ ، فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَرْكَبَ ، وَتُهْدِيَ هَدْيًا

" .
