Chapter: Saying karam (regarding grapes) and regarding the tongue.

باب فِي الْكَرْمِ وَحِفْظِ الْمَنْطِقِ

English narration

Narrated by أبو هريرة الدوسي

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: None of you should Call (grapes) karm, for the karm is a Muslim man, but call (grapes) garden of grapes (hada’iq al-a’nab).

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : الْكَرْمَ ، فَإِنَّ الْكَرْمَ : الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ ، وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا : حَدَائِقَ الْأَعْنَابِ

" .
