Chapter: What Should Be Said When One Hears The Mu’adhdhin.

باب مَا يَقُولُ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ

English narration

Narrated by أبو سعيد الخدري

Abu Saeed Al-Khudri reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: When you hear the Adhan, you should repeat the same words as the Muadhdhin pronounces.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

" .
