The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Dharr through a different chain of narrators. In this version the transmitter mentioned the Prophet ﷺ in the middle of the tradition.

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ , أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ , عَنْ وَاصِلٍ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ , عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ , بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ , وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَسْطِهِ .
