Abu Dawud · 1650مَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِنَّا لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا الصَّدَقَةُNarrated Abu Rafi: The Prophet ﷺ sent a man of the Banu Makhzum to collect sadaqah. He said to Abu Rafi: Accompany me so that you may get some of it. He said: (I cannot take it) until I go to the Prophet ﷺ and ask him. T5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1651مَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِنَّا لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا الصَّدَقَةُAnas said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon a date on the road; he would not take it for fear of being a part of the sadaqah.5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1652لَوْلَا أَنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَكُونَ صَدَقَةً لَأَكَلْتُهَاAnas said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ found a date and said: Were it not that I fear it may be part of the sadaqah, I would eat it.5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1653بَعَثَنِي أَبِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي إِبِلٍ أَعْطَاهَا إِيَّاهُ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِNarrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: My father sent me to the Prophet ﷺ to take the camels which he had given him from among those of sadaqah.6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1654حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَا :حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْThe aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Ibn Abbas through a different chain of narrators in a similar manner. This version adds: “My father exchanged them for him”.8 narrators
