Abu Dawud · 1698إِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحَّ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِالشُّحِّ ، أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْبُخْلِ فَبَخِلُوا ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالْقَطِيعَةِ فَقَطَعُوا ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالْفُجُورِ فَفَجَرُواNarrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ preached and said: Abstain from avarice, for those who had been before you were annihilated due to avarice.
