Abu Dawud · 4668حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ Abu Saeed Al-Khudri reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Do not distinguish between the Prophets.5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4669مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ : إِنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّىIbn Abbas reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying: It is not fitting for a servent to say that I (The Prophet) is better than Jonah son of Matta.5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4670مَا يَنْبَغِي لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَقُولَ : إِنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّىAbdullah bin Jafar reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: It is not fitting for a prophet to say: I am better than Jonah son of matta.6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 4671لَا تُخَيِّرُونِي عَلَى مُوسَى ، فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يُصْعَقُونَ ، فَأَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يُفِيقُ ، فَإِذَا مُوسَى بَاطِشٌ فِي جَانِبِ الْعَرْشِ ، فَلَا أَدْرِي أَكَانَ مِمَّنْ صَعِقَ فَأَفَاقَ قَبْلِي ، أَوْ كَانَ مِمَّنْ Abu Hurairah said: A man from among the Jews said: By him who chose Moses above the universe. So a Muslim raised his hand and slapped the Jew on his face. The Jew went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. The Prophet are brothers, sons of one father by co-wives. There is no Prophet between me and him.6 narrators
