باب فِي التَّخْيِيرِ بَيْنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن العباس القرشي

Ibn Abbas reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying: It is not fitting for a servent to say that I (The Prophet) is better than Jonah son of Matta.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ : إِنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى

" .
