Book 30: The Book of As-Saum (The Fasting).

كِتَاب الصَّوْمِ

Chapter 5

(5) Chapter. Should it be said “Ramadan” or “the month of Ramadam?” And whoever thinks that both are permissible.

5- بَابُ هَلْ يُقَالُ رَمَضَانُ أَوْ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ وَمَنْ رَأَى كُلَّهُ وَاسِعًا:

English narration

Narrated by أبو هريرة الدوسي

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

إِذَا جَاءَ رَمَضَانُ فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ

" .
