Narrated by عبد الله بن أبي أوفى الأسلمي
I saw (a healed scar of) blow over the hand of Ibn Abi 'Aufa who said, "I received that blow in the battle of Hunain in the company of the Prophet." I said, "Did you take part in the battle of Hunain?" He replied, "Yes (and in other battles) before it."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ : "
رَأَيْتُ بِيَدِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى ضَرْبَةً ، قَالَ : ضُرِبْتُهَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ
" ، قُلْتُ : " شَهِدْتَ حُنَيْنًا ؟ " قَالَ : " قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ " .
