كِتَاب الْأَطْعِمَةِ

Chapter 26

(26) Chapter. A roasted sheep (and the eating of a piece of meat) from the shoulder of mutton or from the ribs.

26- بَابُ شَاةٍ مَسْمُوطَةٍ وَالْكَتِفِ وَالْجَنْبِ:

English narration

Narrated by عمرو بن أمية الضمري

I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) cutting part of the shoulder of mutton with a knife. He ate of it and then was called for prayer whereupon he got up and put down the knife and offered the prayer without performing new ablution.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : "

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا ، فَدُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَقَامَ فَطَرَحَ السِّكِّينَ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
