Hadith 5502

Book 72: The Book of Slaughtering and Hunting

كِتَاب الذَّبَائِحِ وَالصَّيْدِ

Chapter 18

(18) Chapter. (About the instruments) that cause the blood (of slaughter animals) to gush out, e.g., of cane, granite stone, or iron.

18- بَابُ مَا أَنْهَرَ الدَّمَ مِنَ الْقَصَبِ وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَالْحَدِيدِ:

English narration

Narrated by اسم مبهم

that Ka`b had a slave girl who used to graze his sheep on a small mountain, called "Sl'a", situated near the market. Once a sheep was dying, so she broke a stone and slaughtered it with it. When they mentioned that to the Prophet, he, permitted them to eat it.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ : "

أَنَّ جَارِيَةً لِكَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ تَرْعَى غَنَمًا لَهُ بِالْجُبَيْلِ الَّذِي بِالسُّوقِ وَهُوَ بِسَلْعٍ فَأُصِيبَتْ شَاةٌ ، فَكَسَرَتْ حَجَرًا فَذَبَحَتْهَا بِهِ ، فَذَكَرُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِأَكْلِهَا
