Chapter 30

(30) Chapter. The sin of a person who killed an innocent Dhimi (a non-Muslim living in a Muslim state and enjoying the protection of Muslims).

30- بَابُ إِثْمِ مَنْ قَتَلَ ذِمِّيًّا بِغَيْرِ جُرْمٍ:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن عمرو السهمي

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever killed a Mu'ahid (a person who is granted the pledge of protection by the Muslims) shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise though its fragrance can be smelt at a distance of forty years (of traveling).

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدًا لَمْ يَرِحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا

" .
