(9) Chapter. The selling of a Mudabbar (i.e., the slave who is declared by his master to be manumitted after his master’s death).

Bukhari · 2534أَعْتَقَ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا عَبْدًا لَهُ عَنْ دُبُرٍ ، فَدَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهِ ، فَبَاعَهُ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : مَاتَ الْغُلَامُ عَامَ أَوَّلَA man amongst us declared that his slave would be freed after his death.
