Bukhari · 6575حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضThe Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount, and some of you will be brought in front of me till I will see them and then they will be taken away from me and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' Abu Bishr said I said to Sa`id, "Some people claim that it (Al-Kauthar) is a river in Paradise." Sa`id replied, "The river6 narratorsBukhari · 6579حَوْضِي مَسِيرَةُ شَهْرٍ ، مَاؤُهُ أَبْيَضُ مِنَ اللَّبَنِ ، وَرِيحُهُ أَطْيَبُ مِنَ الْمِسْكِ ، وَكِيزَانُهُ كَنُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ ، مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهَا فَلَا يَظْمَأُ أَبَدًاThe Prophet (ﷺ) said, "My Lake-Fount is (so large that it takes) a month's journey to cross it. Its water is whiter than milk, and its smell is nicer than musk (a kind of Perfume), and its drinking cups are (as numerous)4 narratorsBukhari · 6580إِنَّ قَدْرَ حَوْضِي كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ وصَنْعَاءَ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ ، وَإِنَّ فِيهِ مِنَ الْأَبَارِيقِ كَعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِAllah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The width of my Lake-Fount is equal to the distance between Aila (a town in Sham) and Sana' (the capital of Yemen) and it has as many (numerous) jugs as the number of stars of the sky."5 narratorsBukhari · 6581بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَسِيرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، إِذَا أَنَا بِنَهَرٍ حَافَتَاهُ قِبَابُ الدُّرِّ الْمُجَوَّفِ ، قُلْتُ : مَا هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ ؟ قَالَ : هَذَا الْكَوْثَرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاكَ رَبُّكَ ، فَإِذَا طِينُهُ أَوْ طِيبُThe Prophet (ﷺ) said "While I was walking in Paradise (on the night of Mi'raj), I saw a river, on the two banks of which there were tents made of hollow pearls. It will be said, 'You have no knowledge of wh15 narrators·parallel chainBukhari · 6587بَيْنَا أَنَا قَائِمٌ إِذَا زُمْرَةٌ حَتَّى إِذَا عَرَفْتُهُمْ خَرَجَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِهِمْ ، فَقَالَ : هَلُمَّ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَيْنَ ؟ قَالَ : إِلَى النَّارِ ، وَاللَّهِ قُلْتُ : وَمَا شَأْنُهُمْ ؟ قَالَ : إِنّThe Prophet (ﷺ) said, "While I was sleeping, a group (of my followers were brought close to me), and when I recognized them, a man (an angel) came out from amongst (us) me and them, he said (to them), 'Come along.' I ask6 narratorsBukhari · 6588مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَمِنْبَرِي عَلَى حَوْضِيAllah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Between my house and my pulpit there is a garden from amongst the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is over my Lake-Fount."6 narratorsBukhari · 6589حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جُنْدَبًا ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عI heard the Prophet, saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount. (Al-Kauthar) .5 narratorsBukhari · 6590خَرَجَ يَوْمًا فَصَلَّى عَلَى أَهْلِ أُحُدٍ صَلَاتَهُ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي فَرَطٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنَا شَهِيدٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ، وَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ لَأَنْظُرُ إِلَى حَوْضِي الْآنَ Once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out and offered the funeral prayers for the martyrs of Uhud, and then went to the pulpit and said, "I am a predecessor for you and I am a witness for you and by Allah, I am looking at my Fount j5 narratorsBukhari · 6591كَمَا بَيْنَ الْمَدِينَةِ ، وَصَنْعَاءَHaritha said that he heard the Prophet saying that his Lake-Fount would be as large as the distance between Sana' and Medina. Al- Mustaurid said to Haritha, "Didn't you hear him talking about the vessels?" He said, "No."5 narratorsBukhari · 6592وَزَادَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْلَهُ : حَوْضُهُ مَا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ ، وَالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَقَHaritha said that he heard the Prophet saying that his Lake-Fount would be as large as the distance between Sana' and Medina. Al- Mustaurid said to Haritha, "Didn't you hear him talking about the vessels?" He said, "No."5 narratorsBukhari · 6593إِنِّي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ مَنْ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ مِنْكُمْ ، وَسَيُؤْخَذُ نَاسٌ دُونِي ، فَأَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ مِنِّي وَمِنْ أُمَّتِي ، فَيُقَالُ :The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will be standing at the Lake-Fount so that I will see whom among you will come to me; and some people will be taken away from me, and I will say, 'O Lord, (they are) from me and from my followers4 narrators
