Abu Dawud · 5176أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَبَنٍ وَجَدَايَةٍ وَضَغَابِيسَ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَعْلَى مَكَّةَ ، فَدَخَلْتُ وَلَمْ أُسNarrated Kaladah ibn Hanbal: Safwan ibn Umayyah sent him with some milk, a young gazelle and some small cucumbers to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was in the upper part of Makkah. I entered but I did not give a saluta10 narrators·parallel chainAbu Dawud · 5177أَنَّهُ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَلِجُ , فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِخَادِمِهِ : اخْرُجْ إِلَى هَذَا فَعَلِّمْهُ الِاسْتِئْذNarrated Ribi: A man of Banu Amir told that he asked the Prophet ﷺ for permission (to enter the house) when he was in the house, saying: May I enter ? The Prophet ﷺ said to his servant: Go out to this (man) and teach him5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 5178حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ ، قَالَ : حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهRibi bin Hirash said I was told that a man of Banu Amir asked the prophet ﷺ for permission to enter the house. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect.
