كِتَاب الْهِبَةِ وَفَضْلِهَا وَالتَّحْرِيضِ عَلَيْهَا

Chapter 14

(14) Chapter. Giving gifts by a husband to his wife, and by a wife to her husband.

14- بَابُ هِبَةِ الرَّجُلِ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ لِزَوْجِهَا:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن العباس القرشي

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "One who takes back his gift (which he has already given) is like a dog that swallows its vomit."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "

الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْكَلْبِ يَقِيءُ ، ثُمَّ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ

" .
