Book 77: The Book of Dress
كِتَاب اللِّبَاسِ
Chapter 1
(1) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Say (O Muhammad ): Who has forbidden the adornment with clothes given by Allah which He has produced for His slaves?” (V.7:32)
1- بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ}:
English narration
Narrated by عبد الله بن عمر العدوي
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.''
النص العربي
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يخبرونه ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "
لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلَاءَ
" .
