Narrated by حذيفة بن اليمان العبسي
Hudhaifah said: when the prophet ﷺ lay down on his bed (at night), he would say: O Allah! In Thy name I die and live. When he awoke, he said: praise be to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die and to whom we shall be resurrected.
النص العربي
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : "
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا نَامَ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَحْيَا وَأَمُوتُ ، وَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ ، قَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا ، وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
" .
